This white dress is a size too small. The store offers larger sizes—and I can still order one—but I want this dress because, even though it’s too small, it’s a triumph that the buttons all close without any gaps of exposed skin. I like to think that the designers knew we’d prefer to sausage in, to rebelliously accentuate our tits and back rolls. I bought it for Easter, but chickened out and wore a roomy green dress, which I also bought for Easter. It’s too short.
